I was a finalist in the Microsoft Imagine Cup with this project in 2009, just before the 6th Sense came out. Ironically, it is called the 7th Sense.The concept is very similar to mine!

The new Youtube app is terrible, its like downgrading to version 0.1 alfa.
Besides from looking terrible it is totally useless on an android pad because of the lack of fullscreen mode when tilted. Thankfully you could downgrade to an earlier version and continue to watch videos in fullscreen.

Credit card giant American Express has been fined
$US27.5 million by United States regulators and ordered to refund $85
million to consumers for deceiving and overcharging card users.

The
Federal Reserve, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the Federal
Deposit Insurance Corp and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency
all came down on the card issuer and bank for deceptive marketing and
debt-collection practices between 2003 and 2012.

The Federal
Reserve also faulted Amex for deficient compliance risk management and
internal auditing, in an investigation that focused on Amex subsidiaries
American Express Centurion Bank and American Express Bank, FSB.

Richard
Cordray, director of the CFPB, said Amex violated consumer protection
laws "at all stages of the game - from the moment a consumer shopped for
a card to the moment the consumer got a phone call about long overdue
debt".

The CFPB said Amex Centurion Bank had led customers, who
signed up for its Blue Sky card program, to believe that they would
receive $US300 and then never paid it.

Customers were also told
both banks charged customers illegal late fees, that they did not report
some consumer disputes to credit bureaus as required and that they
misinformed customers on how their credit standing would improve if they
repaid certain debts, the CFPB said.

In all, the CFPB said, about
250,000 customers were affected by the illegal practices and Amex and
its subsidiaries would have to repay them around $US85 million.

The
fines include $US9 million from the Federal Reserve, $US14.1 million
from CFPB, $US3.9 million from the FDIC and $US500,000 from the
Comptroller of the Currency.

Amex said it had agreed to pay the fines and refunds to settle the accusations.

The company said it had already set aside reserves for a "substantial portion" of the fines and refunds.

I will not be doing any business with American Express Period. I am a former customer and know just how bad they suck, I am disgusted that microsoft has chosen to partner with a company who in 2009 took a massive government bailout.

You mention DISH briefly, in the context of owing TiVO
money, but DISH took TiVO's ideas and magnified them to a new level. I
have the Hopper now, and having had TiVO in the past, there really aren't too
many similarities. I love that DISH picked me to do an employee
beta-test, and Hopper has revolutionized the way my family records and enjoys
our TV. i can record up to 2,000 hours of TV on the 2TB hard drive, and
up to 6 live programs at once. The Hopper also comes with a bunch of new additions,
such as FB, Twitter, Pandora and more. Plus, the wife and I don't argue
as much since each TV has access to the DVR playlist; she watches what she
wants in her space, I watch mine in mine.

This is interesting! I heard bits and pieces of what this DVR might be able to do from one of the technicians I work with at DISH, but no real details like this. I’ve been happy with the Hopper that I have from DISH with its Primetime Anytime feature because I can choose what I want to watch. I only take suggestions from my close friends who know my taste, so I’m not sure that I would take the time to watch what a program thinks I should watch. I’m looking forward to reading more details as they’re released!

Google Plus has hangouts where people can video chat with multiple friends in one go! Facebook has yet to match this feature! Facebook only has been able to implement group chats but certainly not video chats with multiple users within one chat. Right now there are 750 million users on Facebook and they are happy to use Facebook services, whereas Google Plus is going to need to pull people off of Facebook, wean them off and convince them that Google plus has better features and functions that beat those on Facebook. That's the only way they can get people to come and use their services rather than the big boy Facebook.
